Fatima Zahra (A.S.) on The Last Day
On the Day when the oppressed shall bite their hands (in fear); when the oppressors shall be gathered in humiliation and lowliness, remembering their disgraceful and shameful deeds:
Then every one of them shall review his file, which is packed with oppression against his chosen worshippers. On that Day shall every human, whatever color, creed, faith, and his deeds may be shall be gathered... no one will be left behind... even the fetus who was the victim of abortion shall come that Day to present his case...
Then the great personality of Lady Zahra (A.S.) shall become manifest to every soul...
Following are several narrations reported by Ahlul-Bayt (A.S.) regarding Fatima (A.S.) on the Last Day:
1. Hakim reported in Al-Mustadrak v.2, p.153 that Ali (P.B.U.H.) said:
"I heard the Prophet say:
"On the Day of Rising, a caller shall announce from beyond the veil: "O gathered people, lower your eyes so that Fatima, the Daughter of Muhammad, may pass."
This narration has also been reported by:
Ibn Al-Athir in Usd al-Ghaba v.5, p.523;
Ganji Shafiee in Kifayat At-Talib p. 212;
Dhahabi in Mizan al-Etedal v.2, p.18; and by
Hamwini in Yanabi' al-Mawaddah p.104, who added the following to it:
Ali (A.S.) reported that the Prophet said:
"On the Day of Rising, a caller shall call from the sole of the Throne:
"O people of Resurrection, cast your eyes down, so that Fatima Bint Muhammad may pass-while holding Al-Hussain's shirt, which will (still) be saturated with blood.' She will then embrace the leg of the Throne and say:
"O (Allah), You are the Omnipotent and Just; pass the judgment between me and those who killed my son." (The Prophet (P.B.U.H.) added): "Then He shall judge according to my Sunnah, by the Lord of Kaaba, Fatima will then say:
"O Allah! grant me intercedence for everyone who cried for his disaster; Allah will then grant her intercedence for them."
2. Abu Nu'aym in Dala'el al-Nobowwah, Ibn Hajar in al-Sawa'iq al-Muhriqah, and others have reported that Abu Ayuoub Ansari said:
"The Messenger of Allah said: A caller shall call from the sole of the Throne: O gathered people, lower your heads and cast your eyes down so that Fatima Bint Muhammad may pass on the Path. ' He added: 'She then passes accompanied by seventy thousand Huri Al-Een, as if they were a flashing light."
3. Many Sunni Scholars have reported that Allah's Messenger stated that Lady Fatima Zahra shall arrive at the gathering place (while) riding Ghadha' or Gusua female camel.
4. Jaber Ibn Abdullah Ansari said:
"I said to Abu Ja'far (Al-Baqir (A.S.)): 'May I be your sacrifice son of Allah's Messenger; narrate to me a hadith in regard to the noble traits of your grandmother Fatima, so that if I report it to your Shiites (followers), they would rejoice at (hearing) it!'
Abu Ja'far (A.S.) said: 'My father told me that my grandfather reported that Allah's Messenger said:
"On the Day of Rising, Minbars of light shall be erected for the prophets and messengers, of which my Minbar shall be the highest among all Minbars on that day. Allah will then say: Deliver a speech,' so I will deliver a speech that none of the prophets or messengers have ever heard. Then for the successors (of prophets) shall be erected Minbars of light, and in the middle of these Minbars one shall be erected for my successor, Ali Ibn Abu Talib, which will be higher than all their Minbars. Allah will then say:
"Ali, deliver a speech.' So he will deliver a speech like no successor has ever heard before. Then for the children of the prophets and messengers shall be erected Minbars of light; among them shall be a Minber of light for my two sons, grandsons and the two flowers of my life (Al-Hassan and Al-Hussain). Then it shall be said to them: "Deliver speeches." So they will deliver two speeches like none of the children of the prophets and messengers have ever heard before!
"A caller-Gabriel-shall then call:
'Where is Fatima Bint Muhammad?'
She (A.S.) will rise..." (Until he said):
'Allah, the blessed and exalted is His Name, shall say:
'O people of the gathering; to whom does honor belong today?'
So Muhammad, Ali, Hassan and Al-Hussain (A.S.) will say:
'To Allah, The one, The Almighty
'Allah the Exalted will say:
"O people of the gathering: lower your heads and
cast your eyes down, for this is Fatima proceeding
towards Paradise.' Gabriel shall then bring her a female
camel from the female camels of Paradise; its sides shall be embellished, its muzzle with fresh pearls, and it shall have a saddle of coral. It shall kneel down in her presence; so she will ride it. Allah will then send 100, 000 angels to accompany her on her right side; and 100, 000 angels to accompany her on her left side; and 100, 000 angels to lift her onto their wings until they bring her to the gate of Paradise. When she is near the gate of Paradise, she will look to her side. Allah will then say:
"Daughter of My beloved, why did you look to your side after I gave the command that you enter my Paradise?"
She will say: "My Lord, I wished that my position would be realized on such a Day!"
Allah will say:
"Daughter of My beloved!
Go back and look for everyone in whose heart was love for you or for any of your progeny; take their hand and lead them into paradise!"
Abu Ja'far (A.S.) said: "By Allah; Jabir, she will pick her Shiites (followers) and those who love her just like a bird picks good seeds from bad seeds. So that when her Shiites are near the gate of Paradise, Allah will inspire their hearts to look to their sides; when they do--- Allah, The Almighty, will say:
My beloved ones, why did you look around when Fatima, the daughter of my beloved one, interceded for you?'
They will answer: 'Our Lord! We hoped that our position would be known on such a day!'
Allah will then say: 'My beloved ones, go back and look for everyone who loved you for your love for Fatima;
Look for everyone who fed you for the love of Fatima;
Look for everyone who clothed you for the love of Fatima;
Look for everyone who gave you a drink for the love of Fatima;
Look for everyone who prevented (Gheeba) backbiting from being done against you for the love of Fatima...
Take their hands and lead them into Paradise... "'
5. Ibn Abbas said: "I heard Amir Al-Mo'mineen, Ali (A.S.) say:
Once the Messenger of Allah entered the house of Fatima and found her in a sad mood. So he said: 'What has made you sad daughter?'
Fatima replied: 'Father, I remembered the gathering (Day), and people standing naked on the Day of Resurrection!'
He said: Daughter, surely it will be a great Day. But Gabriel informed me that Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, said that the first one upon whom the ground shall be split opened is me, then your husband, Ali Ibn Abu Talib (A.S.); then Allah shall send Gabriel accompanied by seventy thousand angels and he will erect on your grave seven domes of light, after which Israfil will bring you three garments of light and stand by your head and say to you:
"O Fatima Bint Muhammad, rise towards your gathering place."
"You (Fatima) shall then rise secure from fear and veiled (in privacy). Israfil will hand you the garments and you will wear them. Rafael will then bring you a female camel of light; its muzzle shall be made of fresh pearls and on it shall be a howdan of gold. You will ride it and Rafael shall lead it by its muzzle while seventy thousand angels holding the banners of glorification accompany you.
When the caravan hurries with you, seventy thousand Huris shall receive you rejoicing at seeing you; while every one of them will be holding a censer of light from which the fragrance of incense is spread without fire. They shall be wearing crowns of jewels embellished with green chrysolites."
6. Bihar v.10, on the authority of Amali (by Saduq) reports that Imam Baqir (A.S.) said:
"I heard Jabir Ibn Abdullah Ansari say: Allah's
Messenger said: "On the Day of Rising, My daughter,
Fatima, shall arrive riding a female camel from among
the camels of Paradise-to her right shall be seventy thousand
angels and to her left shall also be seventy thousand angels; Gabriel will be holding its muzzle and calling with the loudest of voices: 'Cast down your eyes so that Fatima Bint Muhammad may pass!"
"Then shall no prophet, messenger, truthful one, or martyr remain without casting their eyes down until Fatima passes... Then a call shall come from the side of Allah, the Exalted:
My beloved one and the daughter of my beloved one; ask Us and you shall be given (whatever you wish), and intercede, your intercedence shall be accepted. By my Honor and Exaltation, the oppression of no oppressor shall pass My (judgement) today.
She (Fatima) will then say:
"O Allah, My Master;
My progeny, My Shiites (followers), the Shiites of my progeny, those who love me and those who love my progeny."
She will then hear a call from Allah's side, may His Name be exalted:
"Where are Fatima's progeny, her Shiites, those who love her, and those who love her progeny?" They will then come forward, surrounded by angels of mercy, and Fatima will lead them into Paradise."
Immoral Friends
Imam Sadiq [A.S] said: "He who seeks the company of those who insult the lovers of Allah has surely disobeyed Him, the Sublime."
Usul-i-Kafi, vol. 2, p. 379
Imam Sadiq [A.S] said: "When you are informed of a fellow companion committing an evil action, then go to him and tell him: 'O so and so! Either refrain from committing this sin or keep away from us'; then, avoid him unless he does so."
Wasa'il-ush-Shi'ah, vol. 16, p. 146
Imam Amir-ul-Mu'mineen Ali [A.S] said: "O' Kumayl! Say what is just in any condition. Be friends with the righteous and avoid the evil doers, stay away from the hypocrites and do not accompany the treacherous."
Mustadrak-ul-Wasa'il, vol. 12, p. 197
Serving People
The Holy Prophet [A.S] said: "He who decreases a grief out of the grieves of this world for his Muslim brother, Allah will decrease for him a grief out of the grieves of the Hereafter."
Imam Ali Al-Naghi Al Haadi (Peace Be Upon Him and his tribe) said to claimant that if you are from Mohammad's children, go into the lions cage ... because eating Fatima children is forbidden for wilds by God ... The claimant didn't accept but the Caliph that wanted to see Haadi's ripping off, persist on Imam's enterance in the cage ... Imam Haadi went and as he !entered, lions calmed down and came to kiss his feet
People of Kufa wrote letters to Imam Hosein and invited him to their city to be their leader but when Hosein arrived, people wore their battle clothes, and surrounded Hosein and his family, and did not let them drink water ... Hosein's Brother, Abbas , went into enemies, killed many and filled the water-skin, but in return, yazid's army shoot rain of arrows toward him, and cut his both hands ... when Imam Hosein came on his body, Abbas asked his brother not to bring back his body because he do not want to be shameful in front of thirsty
We will mention some examples of Christian worship in comparison with what we have mentioned about Islamic worship. The Bible says: And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
“This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. (Matthew: 6)
We will discuss a few points from this prayer: It begins by addressing God with the word: Our father, in the heavens!
The application of the expression ‘father’ to God, if it is with realization, then Exalted is Allah, the One, the Unique, the Needless, Who begets not, nor is He begotten. If it is anthropomorphism, then High is His Might that He be ascribed with human characteristics. In such a situation their prayers and worship would be for the created and not the Creator.
As for worship in Islam, then it is for Allah, the Exalted, Who has nothing whatsoever like unto Him. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing; thus, the intellect does not deny Him recognition. He cannot be anthropomorphized with His creation.
After this praise for God, we see that the Christian prayer teaches him to ask for the bread for his body which is like grass for the body of an animal.
A Muslim, however, after praising his Lord in his prayer, seeks the light of vision in his wisdom so that he may find the right path to move to the purpose of his creation and the success in the way of his goal: Keep us on the right path. Thus, there is not any treasure more noble and precious than guidance which is the perfection of the human being. There is no path to the goal more fair, more right and nearer than the right path. And there is no goal higher and above Allah, the Blessed and Exalted.
The Christians do not forgive the people who have committed sins against them, nor do they forgive loans to people. Then how can they say this prayer, because with the words: as we also have forgiven our debtors; they would be lying in their prayers. Based on logic, lying is one of the evil acts and according to divine laws it is one of the major sins. Nearness to Allah is not possible through evil deeds and serving Him through sins. Repenting by sinning is another sin.

religion of the world, we sometimes see a disturbing deviation within the Muslim Ummah. Forget society, forget those who are converting and reverting, forget those who are just introducing themselves to Islam. I'm talking about us: those born and raised into Muslim families and taught the values of Islam and the teachings of the Prophets and Imams (peace be upon them). For everything that we have been taught and nurtured with, we find ourselves constantly doubting the actions we perform and the teachings we follow. But Islam stands to be a religion of logic, from the time ofMuhammad, and it will remain so till the mountains crumble, the Earth flattens, and the final trumpet is blown.
One of the most asked questions within our community today is, ‘Why do we have to pray?’ More often than not, we see arrogance taking over people's minds, boasting that there is no need for prayer. And if they do pray, it is ritualistically and taken very lightly.
So people ask, why do we have to pray? And I only respond, ‘
Do you not find it worthy to thank Him, the One who has given you everything, and the One Who can take all that away from you if He so wishes overnight?’
In understanding why we pray, there are several factors that need to be understood first, before coming to the essence of prayer itself. The first is understanding and believing that there is a Hereafter, a life after death, one more permanent and Just by the Grace of
Allah. For all the injustices and crimes caused in this world, there must be a time of exposing the truth. In accepting the faith of Islam, we have accepted that there will be a Hereafter, and that this world is only transitory.
So knowing that, we also understand that we must send our deeds forth, to serve as a light and support on the Day of Reckoning, where we will be held accountable for all that we have done in this world. We know that everything we do here will either form benefits or punishment in the afterlife. It is all about prioritizing and being prepared.
Allah does not need our prayers, so the question of prayer still remains. But if only we understood that the power of
prayer is such that, though we gift it to Allah, for all His Mercy and Blessings, He gifts it back, allowing it to serve as the beacon guiding us on that Day when no wealth, money, or children, will stand beside us.
Have we ever thought of how busy our lives are? We are either rushing to go to work, to finish assignments, to do chores, and to have life sorted out; we are constantly on the run! Have we ever imagined that if Allah wanted, we could lose our job? We could lose our
?family? Our ability to function and think
It is due to His Grace that we get up in the morning, and it is due to His Grace that we sleep at night.
In this world, we openly believe in the moral values of thanking someone when they do us a favor or help us in some way. So why is it one rule for the people and another rule for the Supreme Power? Is it not Him we are answerable to? Yet we tend to care what people think of us more.
So if we accept our morals and values, and the basic service to humanity, then we must also accept that we have to thank Allah for the gift of breathing, talking, and
walking. We must thank Him for every ability we have – because we know and are fully aware, that all of it can be taken from us in a matter of seconds. And what better way to thank Him than the form of prayer
In making it mandatory, Allah has only done us a favor, so that we may continue adding to our good deeds, as remembering Him is a Mercy in itself and also rewarding for us.
As we stand at the designated time in front of our Lord and raise our hands to attest that
God is Truly Great, we affirm our acknowledgement of His Supremacy, His Bounties, and His Power. What better way to thank He Who Created Us and gave us everything
In our busy lives with our never-ending agendas, it is nothing short of beneficial for us to stop everything we are doing at that precise moment in time when the call of Ibrahim is echoed throughout the world, and praise Him Who gave us the ability to wake up that morning, and He who granted us the honor of being raised in a religion that promotes direct communication with the Creator.
Thank Him, because thanking Him through compulsory prayer five times a day is sowing the seeds of reward that we will reap on that Day when none other than our deeds shall come to our aid.

t is narrated from Imam Sadiq (A.S) that a Jew asked the holy prophet (PBUH): “Whether you are superior or the prophet Moses to whom God used to speak and had revealed Torah to him and had made his walking stick a miracle and had split the sea for him and had always shadowed him under the clouds?”
The holy prophet (PBUH)told the Jew: “Indeed a person should not boast and consider his own self as superior to others nevertheless the truth is that when Adam committed a mistake by his own freewill and wanted to seek forgiveness he prayed: “My God! I implore You to forgive me for the sake of the rights of Muhammad and Ale Muhammad on You.” Then God forgave him. Similarly when prophet Noah (A.S) was afraid of storm and feared that his ark may sink, he prayed: “My God! I implore You to save me for the sake of the rights of Muhammad and Ale Muhammad, then God saved him from drowning. Similarly when Abraham (A.S) was thrown into the fire he prayed: “My God! I implore You to save me from fire for the sake of the rights of Muhammad and Ale Muhammad, then God saved him from the fire and made it cool and safe.
And when Moses had thrown his walking stick which became a python, he was afraid of the python and prayed: “My God! I implore You to protect me from this python for the sake of the rights of Muhammad and Ale Muhammad, then God said: “Don’t be afraid you are the superior one.”
Ye Jew! If Moses were present now without believing in my prophethood, his faith would not benefit him nor his prophet hood.”
Ye Jew! Imam al Mahdi (A.S) will emerge from my posterity and Jesus, son of Maryam, shall be sent by God to assist him. Jesus (A.S) will advance him to lead the congregation prayers and shall pray behind Imam Mahdi (A.F). (Amali e Sheikh Sadooqh P.287 4/320)
?What Does It Mean to Wait for the Return of Imam Mahdi
To wait for the return of Imam Mahdi means:
A) To get to know Imam Mahdi, as the innocent establisher of justice and the pioneer of faith.
B) To have faith in Imam Mahdi being the Imam and our divine and just leader.
C) To have love for justice and for human values.
D) To have hope in a bright future.
E) To try to establish the rule of justice.
F) To be committed to the rules of religion and morality.
G) To have the spirit of commitment and accepting responsibilities.
To wait for the return of Imam Mahdi is considered as the best prayer of all, and such a believer has a high position and if he dies while Imam Mahdi is absent, he will have the dignity of those who are there after the return of Imam Mahdi and fight for him and for God.
An important point to mention is that it is true that it is not our duty to try to meet Imam Mahdi, as some scholars believe that this is very unlikely to happen and even if it does, it happens to people like Moghaddas Ardabili only, and not to ordinary people, no matter how good and religious they are. But it is different to meet with Imam Mahdi than to be in contact with him. Our duty is to be in contact with Imam Mahdi and to say the Nodbeh Prayer, Ziarat Al Yasin Prayer, Ahd Prayer, Imam Mahdi’s prayer, and to go to Jamkaran in order to keep this contact with Imam and in order to pray for his material and spiritual problems to get solved.

Imam Al-Mahdi, the Promised Saviour
The belief in the Mahdi is not only an essential doctrine deep-rooted in Islamic faith but rather it is an embodiment of human nature regardless of one’s religious affiliations. For it is the universal desire of humans as a whole to try to achieve or at least witness the realisation of the ultimate objective of their existence, through which they will achieve perfection and social happiness in their entirety. Therefore by reason of inner necessity and inspiration, humans will see a day when society will be replete with justice.
More importantly, from a religious perspective the concept of the Mahdi is the culmination of human struggle in their path towards God the Almighty. It is when true Justice will be established through human hands but with Divine succour resulting in the prevalence of truth over falsehood and all its offshoots.
Certainly those fortunate and blessed individuals who will take part in this grand culmination of servitude, which will result in the prevalence of Truth over all forms of falsehood will be those whose conviction in the Mahdi and the promised day is resolute.
We therefore have to be mindful of what we do and should endeavour in making our souls pure by nourishing them with the Divine light thus making our souls the abode for Allah and his beloved angels. Spiritual perfection should be our goal and if there is any doubt as to whether the Imam is aware of our acts and is overlooking the welfare of his followers, a saying by the Imam should suffice;
‘We have not ignored your consideration, and have not forgotten your mention; otherwise hardship would have descended upon you and your enemies would have exterminated you.’ [Bihar Al-Anwaar, Ch. 53, Pg. 175]
The Imam is therefore watching over our affairs and is patiently awaiting our response to his call. The matter regarding the return of the Imam is not one simply related to awaiting a time frame chosen by the Almighty Allah, rather in accordance to the narration from the Prophet (PBUH), it has a direct relationship with our own actions, as he says; ‘The best of actions is awaiting Al-Faraj (the return)’

Those people who Expect Imam Mahdi should do the following
· To Be in Contact with the Other People who Are Waiting for the Return of Imam Mahdi
People who are waiting for Imam Mahdi to return know that Imam’s program is an international one and that he needs a lot of companions in order for his movement to be victorious. Therefore, those who are waiting for the return of Imam Mahdi keep their contacts with the other believers and try to increase the number of Imam Mahdi’s lovers. Being in contact with other believers adds to people’s spirituality and as said in Qur’an,
“Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety).” (Al-Ma’idah: 2)
· To Pray for Imam Mahdi to come back sooner
The true believers expect their beloved one every second and they ask God to bring him back as soon as possible. Therefore, one of the duties of the believers is to pray for the return of Imam Mahdi all the time.
· To Give Alms
People should give alms with the intention of Imam Mahdi’s health. This pleases God and causes him to accept people’s religious deeds.
· To be hopeful
People need to have hope in the battle and in the revolution of Imam Mahdi and they should take this hope to others too.
· To Always be Prepared to Fight for Imam Mahdi
As stated in a saying, each person should be prepared for fighting for Imam Mahdi, even if it contains the use of a single arrow only.
That is why they true believers should take part in Basij.
· To be Sorrowful, Because of the Inability to Meet Imam Mahdi
It is said in the Nodbeh prayer, “It is difficult for me to see the people and not to see you and not to hear what you say evidently and latently.”
Because those who are expecting Imam Mahdi cannot see him, they read the Nodbeh Prayer, the Al Yasin Prayer, the Ahd Prayer, Imam Mahdi’s prayer, and they go to the Jamkaran mosque to keep their contact with him and ask God to help Imam Mahdi solve his material and spiritual problems.

Blessing of Having Imam of the Time
Having Imam of the Time is of valuable spiritual blessings of God we do not appreciate enough. He does not exclusively belong to any certain group but to the entire mankind. He intermediates divine blessings. Everything anyone has is due to his being but most people do not know him and are not in connection with him.
One reason for this great loss is that people do not know the Imam properly and miss the real meaning of respecting him.
By properly recognizing him as watching our deeds, we never do what he despises and on the other hand those lacking this recognition refer to their inner negligence and commit many sins.
They are referents of the following tradition:
“Whoever dies without knowing the Imam of his time, has died in negligence.”
Another reason for committing sins while aware of the presence God and Imam of the time is our carelessness. We know God and Imam of the time and feel their presence. Despite recognizing the Imam and trying not to be away from him, we do things that cause God and the Imams to be unsatisfied with us. This is due to our carelessness. We should do something to prevent this carelessness.

Getting to Know Imam Mahdi
The first condition for the people who are waiting for Imam Mahdi is to get to know him. People do not wait for someone unless they know him and are aware of his good features. People wait for those whom they know well. Even if they know that someone is coming and they do not know him, they do not care and they do not wait for him. The same is true about those who are waiting for Imam Mahdi to come. Those who do not know him, like pagans and followers of other religions, never wait for him. But those do, who know him and are aware of his virtues and good characteristics.
Therefore, the first condition for those who are waiting for Imam Mahdi is that they get to know him.
Of course people get to know the value and greatness of Imam Mahdi more, when they get to know him more and this will cause their thirst for seeing him to increase, while people, who are not aware of the value of Imam Mahdi, never feel the passion for meeting him. Therefore, they cannot be considered among those who are truly waiting for the return of Imam Mahdi.
