Mahdi, the Promised, in Torah

The verses concerning the Redeemer have barely been mutilated and embezzled by the adversaries, among the holy scriptures of Judaism.

Some people have considered this action as a result of intense trend to the Redeemer issue, as ‘Harambam’ (Moshe Ben Meymun) one of the grandee and majors of Judaism says:

“Any Jew, who doesn’t believe in Massiahorantidates his arrival, actually controverts the remarks of Moses and other prophets of the Israelites. (1)

Some others though consider that neutrality and lack of nonintervention of these verses in Jewish rabbis’ and governors’ daily life is the main reason to their immunity against mutilation.

Some people believe that the factor which has kept them united during their whole mutable history is their faith in the arrival of the Redeemer, while some others consider this –relative immunity of the verses about End of the Time- as a divine miracle.

Whatever the reason would be, the conclusion is that we witness lots of phrases which appertain to the End of the Time, signs, and the Redeemer himself and even in some scriptures such as the Book of Psalms; one third of the book includes issues about End of the Time and signs of the Redeemer.

A number of these verses imply the arrival of prophet Jesus (PBUH) and corresponds to him very much. But analyzing the form and content of some antiquity verses, we encounter cases which incredibly and completely match with the issues concerning the Shia Redeemer, Imam Mahdi the Great (May God accelerate his arrival) in such case that there would be no doubt for any just human.

Among the quintet sections of Torah, in the Book of Genesis we have:

“God inspired to Abraham and said: I grant this earth to thy seed (generation), all of this earth before thouwill be granted to thee and thy seed forever.”(2)

Verses such as this has caused some Jews to consider the whole earth as their patrimony and according to the Zionistic thoughts extracted from these verses, invasion to other lands is allowed.

And in another case, addressing Abraham (PBUH) we have:

“I’ll extremely fecundate thou and make a large generation of thee; Kings will be born of thy seed.

Knowledge is better than wealth

Many people ringed imam Ali. A man entered the mosque and the opportunity asked:Ali! I have a question. Knowledge is better or wealth? Imam Ali said: knowledge is better because knowledge is prophets‘  heritage and wealth and property are shadad and gharoon and pharaoh and haman‘s legacy. A man who was answered his question fell silent.

At the same time, another man entered the mosque as he  had stood immediately asked: Abalhasan! I have a question, can I ask? Imam answered him: ask! The man at the end of crowd asked: science is better or wealth? Imam Ali said: Knowledge is better because knowledge can save you, but you have to hold wealth.A second person who was convinced about his question , where he had stood he sat.

Meanwhile, a third man came in, he repeated the same question, and imam said: knowledge is better  because it brings the scientist many friends, but wealth brings the rich person many enemies.

The imam`s saying had not ended that  the fourth person entered the mosque. While he was siting with his friends, he put his crutches forward and asked: Ali! Knowledge is beter or wealth? Imam Ali said: knowledge is better because if you spend it becomes less but if you give knowledge and teach it to others it becomes more.

It was the fifth turn. He had already entered the mosque and he had waited next to the pillar of the mosque as soon as finishing imam speak he asked the same question. Imam Ali said in response to him: Knowledge is better because people imagine the rich and wealthy curmudgeon, but scientists are called great.

As soon as entering sixth person the heads back, people looked at him in surprise. One of the crowd said he also wants to know which of these is better knowledge or wealth! Those who had heard his voice, smiled. The man sat near his friends at the end of crowd and started to speak loudly: Ali! Knowledge is better or wealth? Imam looked at crowd and said: Knowledge is better because a thief may steal property but there is no fear of science robbery. The man became silent. Hullabaloo fell among the people, what is happening? Why a same question is asked? People sometimes looked at imam and sometimes at newcomers.

Meanwhile that the words of imam Ali were finished the seventh man who had entered and had sat among the crowd asked: Abalhashan! Knowledge is better or wealth? Imam raise his hand to mark of silence and said: knowledge is better because wealth becomes old over time but knowledge will not rot after many time.    The man got up slowly and sat with his friends then slowly got to his friends and said: It is not vain that the prophet said: I am the city of knowledge and Ali is its door. Whatever we ask him he is ready to answer. It is better that people have satirized us more, tell the others don`t come. A man who have sat beside him said: what is turn out? Maybe he can`t answer and he will ashamed among people and we reach our goal. A man who have sat away said: if he answers then we are ashamed. The man said with comfort carido we must fail him.       At the same time the eighth man came and asked and Imam said again: knowledge is better because wealth remains only in life but science is with human both in life and afterlife.

Silence surrounds the house. Nobody said nothing. All of the crowd were surprised of imam`s answers.

The nine person entered the mosque and with the consternation of the people asked: Ali! Knowledge is better or wealth? Imam smiled and said: knowledge is better because wealth changes people to heartless but science creates light in the heart.

Surprised and confused look of people were at the door like they expected the tenth man. Meanwhile a person who had a child`s hand in his hand entered the mosque. He sat at the end of  crowd and shed a handful of dates on the child`s skirt and looked at face. People that thought nobody would not ask, turn their head that man asked: abalhasan! knowledge is better or wealth? Knowledge is better because the richs have arrogance that may think they are God but owners of science are humble.

Hullabaloo and shouting of joy and admiration of people had filled the house. They slowly and quietly went from the crowd. When they left the mosque they heard the imam`s voice that he was saying: if all of the world`s people asking me this one question I answer to each one differently.

He splits the sky at dawn, and appoints the night as a time of stillness and the Sun and Moon as a means of reckoning. (Qur"an, 6:96)

The Arabic word sakanan, which appears in the original of the above verse, means "repose, rest, time to withdraw to rest, time for a break." As indicated by Allah, night is the time when human beings rest. The hormone melatonin, secreted at night, prepares the body for sleep by slowing down peoples" physical movements, making them sleepy and tired, and functioning as a natural tranquilliser that eases their

In the Quran, which was revealed fourteen centuries ago at a time when the science of astronomy was still primitive, the expansion of the universe was described in the following terms:

And it is We Who have constructed the heaven with might, and verily, it is We Who are steadily expanding it. (Quran, 51:47)

The word "heaven," as stated in the verse above, is used in various places in the Quran. It is referring to space and the wider universe. Here again, the word is used with this meaning, stating that the universe "expands." The Arabic word "moosiaaoona" in the term "inna lamoosiaaoona," translated into English as "it is We Who are steadily expanding it", comes from the verb "evsea," meaning "to expand." The prefix "la" emphasises the following name or title and adds a sense of "to a great extent." This expression therefore means "We expand the sky or the universe to a great extent." This is the very conclusion that science has reached today. 1

 Georges Lemaitre

Until the dawn of the 20th century, the only view prevailing in the world of science was that "the universe has a constant nature and it has existed since infinite time." However, modern research, observations, and calculations carried out by means of modern technology have revealed that the universe in fact had a beginning and that it constantly "expands."

At the beginning of the 20th century, the Russian physicist Alexander Friedmann and the Belgian cosmologist Georges Lemaitre theoretically calculated that the universe is in constant motion and that it is expanding.

From the moment of the Big Bang, the universe has been constantly expanding at a great speed. Scientists compare the expanding universe to the surface of a balloon that is inflated.

This notion was confirmed by the use of observational data in 1929. While observing the sky with a telescope, Edwin Hubble, the American astronomer, discovered that the stars and galaxies were constantly moving away from each other. This discovery is regarded as one of the greatest in the history of astronomy. During these observations, Hubble established that the stars emit a light that turns redder according to their distance. That is because according to the known laws of physics, light heading towards a point of observation turns violet, and light moving away from that point assumes a more reddish hue.

During his observations, Hubble noted a tendency towards the color red in the light emitted by stars. In short, the stars were moving further and further away, all the time.

The stars and galaxies were not only moving away from us, but also from each other. A universe where everything constantly moves away from everything else implied a constantly expanding universe. The observations carried out in the following years verified that the universe is constantly expanding.

In order to gain a clearer understanding of this, let us imagine the universe to be the surface of a balloon being inflated. In the same way that the more the balloon is inflated, the further away the points on its surface move from one another, celestial bodies also move away from one another as the universe expands. This was theoretically discovered by Albert Einstein, regarded as one of the greatest scientists of the 20th century. However, in order to avoid violating the "static universe model" that was generally accepted at that time, Einstein laid that discovery aside. He would later describe this as the greatest blunder of his life. 2

This fact was explained in the Quran in a time when telescopes and similar technological advancements were not even close to being invented. This is because the Quran is the Word of Allah: the Creator and Ruler of the entire universe.

Fingertips, one of Allah’s signs in His creation

A man came to the prophet, with dead bones and asks him O Muhammad do you say that Allah (God) will bring me back to life after I become like this dead Bones. Then Allah (God) replies with this verse in the holy Qur'an:

بَلَى قَادِرِینَ عَلَى أَن نُّسَوِّیَ بَنَانَهُ

Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips. The Holy Qur’an (The Resurrection, Surah75, verse4)

This emphasis on finger print has a very special meaning, this is because every  one’s  finger print is unique to himself, every person who is alive or who has ever lived in this world, has a set of unique finger prints, that is why the finger prints are accepted as a very important identity exclusive to the owner, and it is used for this purpose around the World.

Scientific facts

· Finger prints are formed in the embryo at the fourth month, and remain fixed and distinct all along man’s life.

· Finger prints are a record of curvatures that arise due to the fusion between the epidermis with the dermis.

· These curvatures differ from one person to another, and they never match or correspond among all humans.

· Finger prints have become the best method to identify persons.  In 858, the English Scientist, William Herschel, pointed out that finger prints differ with the difference of their holders, thus rendering them as distinctive feature evidence for each person.

- Allah says in the Holy Qur’an: “Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection.  Nay! I swear by the self-accusing soul. Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips”‌ The Holy Qur’an (The Resurrection, Surah75, verses 1-4).

Physicians conducted wide anatomical studies on a large number of people of different nationalities and ages, and they were confronted with the scientific fact to which they bowed their heads, and in submission they testified that no one is ever able to make similar all finger prints scattering all over the universe not even among two persons.

Here it is noticed that the verse speaks also of the recreation of all finger tips, and not only one. The word fingertips refer to all hand fingers. So shaping them again after being scattered all over the universe on Resurrection Day is a sign of Allah’s almighty power.  This is but one side of Allah’s ability to resurrect people on Doomsday with their identifiable parts after annihilation.

Therefore, it is not surprising that fingertips are one of Allah’s signs that contain the secret of His creation, and certify to the entity of the person without any confusion, thus becoming the most genuine testimony in this world and the Hereafter. The finger print is also a demonstration of Allah’s greatness of shaping such lines on a very small space no more than few square centimeters.

Is it not a wonderful scientific miracle in which the power of Allah the Almighty is evident?  Praise be to Allah the Almighty Who says; “We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and in their own souls, until it will become quite clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that He is a witness over all things? The Holy Qur’an (In Detail, Surah41, verse 53)

The Possibility of Satan Turning into a Human Shape

God says, “Nothing exists, unless it is with Us and We bring it down to you as much as needed.”‌ This shows that everyone and everything in this world is linked to God. This also shows that our world is not the only existing world and that we are leaving in the lowest world of all.

God has said that man could have all the worlds in hands. This proves that no creature from another world could control man, unless

The Weight of Clouds

The weight of clouds can reach quite astonishing proportions. For example, a cumulonimbus cloud, commonly known as the thunder cloud, can contain up to 300,000 tons of water.

The fact that a mass of 300,000 tons of water can remain aloft is truly amazing. Attention is drawn to the weight of clouds in other verses of the Quran:

It is He Who sends out the winds, bringing advance news of His mercy, so that when they have lifted up the heavy clouds, we dispatch them to a dead land and send down water to it, by means of which we bring forth all kinds of fruit... (Quran, 7:57)

It is He Who shows you the lightning, striking fear and bringing hope; it is He Who heaps up the heavy clouds. (Quran, 13:12)

At the time when the Quran was revealed, of course, it was quite impossible to have any information about the weight of clouds. This information, revealed in the Quran, but discovered only recently, is yet another proof that the Quran is the Word of Allah.

(The Mention of Water in the Holy Qur’an (Part 2

Solid expansion

For most substances, solids are denser than liquids. But the special properties of water make it less dense as a solid - ice floats on water! Strong hydrogen bonds formed at freezing 0*C (32*F) lock water molecules away from each other. When ice melts, the structure collapses and molecules move closer together. Liquid water at 4*C (39.2*F) is about 9% denser than ice. This property plays an important role in lake and ocean ecosystems.
